On April 11, 2026, the 35th Chinese Chemical Society Congress was held at the Chongqing Liangjiang Science Hall. Prof. Wen-Xiong Zhang was honored with the 2nd Chinese Chemical Society “LIHUAYI” Chemical Innovation Award for achieving the chlorine-free synthesis of phosphorus-containing heterocyclic compounds from white phosphorus, thereby advancing organophosphorus chemistry in a sustainable manner.
